Sian Maxwell
College Counselor, English and World Literature
Sian is a citizen of the world!
She was born in New Jersey, U.S.A., but also holds a passport from Great Britain. And while she received her bachelors degree from St. Louis University, she received her Masters Degree in International Relations at ISDE (Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia) in Madrid, Spain.
She came to Harkness after working for the Spanish Ministry and the UN (UNESCO) in Costa Rica, so even at a relatively young age, she brings a wealth of experience in both latin American and Western political experience.
Now she is teaching English and literature (as well as advising in college admissions) at Harkness. And she loves teaching our student-scholars because “they are capable of great critical thinking and meaningful conversation!”
- “I enjoy watching them become adults!”
