Biography

Instructor of English, Drama and Global Politics

Cecilia is an IB certified teacher from Kenya. Prior to joining Harkness Institute, she taught at The Nairobi Academy, Kenya where she also served as a head of department and teacher of English and Global Perspectives. Prior to this, she taught at School of the Nations, Nairobi Kenya and at Premier Academy, Nairobi, Kenya. During her tenure at School of the Nations, as the Academic Director, she oversaw the school’s certification as a Cambridge International Examinations Center.

Cecilia is a graduate of the University of Nairobi, Kenya, where she majored in English. She also holds a Postgraduate Degree in teacher education, with English and Social Studies as my areas of specialization. Cecilia is a proud mother of three. When she is not busy with school, you will find Cecilia walking or playing with her seven dogs, going to the theater or listening to music.
